Brett Masi embarks on his third season as head coach of the Texas Tech men’s tennis program after he led the Red Raiders to new heights during his inaugural campaign. Masi, the 2016 Big 12 Co-Head Coach of the Year, guided Texas Tech to a share of the program’s first Big 12 regular season championship and the program’s first championship match appearance at the Big 12 Tournament.
The Red Raiders jumped out to a 21-2 start and racked up a program single-season record 28 victories. Texas Tech spent the entire season ranked among the ITA’s Top 20 for the first time in school history. The stretch was highlighted by six straight weeks in the ITA Top 10.
