Coaches', Players' & Parents' Comments
"The tournament is still resonating with the team and me. The tournament and what you do is one of the finest collegiate events in the nation and we are so honored to be able to play in it. As you know, the ramifications of your tournament are immense in regards to the NCAA Championships. Most importantly, we love coming to Montgomery and our relationships with everybody associated to the tournament. The housing is like family to us. Please pass on my gratitude to all our friends in Montgomery for making our players feel so at home and their support." - Greg Patton, Boise State

"Good players make a good tournament, however the great people of Montgomery make the Blue Gray a premier college event--thank you to all volunteers and our host families for giving of themselves for the betterment of college tennis." - Peter Daub, College of William and Mary

"Thanks again for supporting college tennis and running a great event. Our team really appreciates all of the work that goes into the tournament. We are looking forward to next year’s Blue Gray where Fresno State hopes to go very far." - Jay Udwadia, Fresno State

I wanted to commend the Blue Gray Committee for a job extremely well done. I can certainly appreciate all the hard work that goes into an event like this and to pull it off in the way you all did was fantastic. I know all the teams had a great time and I know they will remember the event for a long time. I was also very flattered and proud to be inducted. Thank you again for the honor and thanks for all you do in raising the bar for this event. Once again, great job!" - Andrew Burrow, 2008 Hall of Fame Inductee

"Thanks so much for having us this year. Our guys loved it and they are already talking about next year’s event. I think our two big wins are really going to kick start our season." - Todd Doebler, Penn State

"I just wanted to tell you how much we appreciate the work you do to make the Blue Gray the most unique and successful event of its kind. We are so proud to play this tournament and represent the state of Alabama and our University during the week. I would like to offer our biggest congrats and thank you from the Alabama men’s tennis team. We have really cultivated some wonderful relationships in your community and cherish our time we spend in Montgomery. Our guys love the support we get from our friends there and they really look forward to the Blue Gray each year. It is truly a home away from home for our team. Please keep up the great work for the sport of tennis and with college tennis. Needless to say, if there’s anything our program can do to help you please never hesitate to let us know! You guys are the best!"
- Billy Pate, Alabama

"We just wanted to let you and all those who work with you know how much we enjoyed the tournament again this year. Quite frankly it has been such a busy winter that we hesitated about coming to Montgomery for the third year in a row. Thank goodness we decided not to miss our son's junior year at the Blue Gray! It was like reuniting with old friends when we walked into the venue at Lagoon Park. We are already talking about next year and hope to pull out the big win for the Crimson Tide. We can't express how much your hospitality means to us and our son. Thanks for your work in continuing a premiere event in men's collegiate tennis." - Matt & Emily Buikema, Battle Creek, Michigan
